All your life you have been a dreamer. For years you have listened to the tales of traveling adventurers as they wandered through your father's old tavern on their way to exciting places that you knew that you would never have the chance to visit yourself.
"Some day..."
But the days continue to come and go and nothing changed. You began to grow more and more resigned to your fate...coming and going about your daily business as time seemed to lose meaning.
"Was this really living?"
You asked yourself this question constantly...but nobody ever answered. Until at last one day someone you had never seen before showed up. You felt his eyes upon you as you served the other patrons...like twin sapphires they watched your every move. You in turn studied him. He was different than many of the others you realized. The way he walked...the way he watched things. Sapphire blue eyes observed everything under the cover of long, curly silver locks of hair. At last the man came over to you and spoke in a soft voice that you realized was part elven in nature.
"You do not belong here my friend. You are different that the others I see in this room. The fires to change things for the better burn in you...and I can show you how to accomplish this. Come with me to my home Sabre Keep..."
You study the man as he speaks. Besides the handsome physical features you take note of his belongings. He is dressed in night black leathers with some sort of silver stiched symbol over his heart. At his side hangs a scabbered sabre with the name "StarLight" running down the scabberd. But most impressive and mysterious of all is the red jewel hanging from a silver chain on his chest. Dimly you realize that you are now offered a chance to do what you have always wanted to do...to seek adventure. What will you do?
Or do you instead refuse...and spend the rest of your life bored...but very safe and comfortable in the familiar old setting of your father's tavern listening to the tales of others?
